How to Join
SORSA now offers official paid memberships (see below) although they are not required to participate in our club activities. Anyone may attend our monthly meetings and participate in group activities free of charge. We do, however, request that anyone wishing to join SORSA download the New Member's Packet, fill out the Questionnaire included in the packet and bring the completed Questionairre to the first meeting you attende. Doing so will provide the new member with useful information about SORSA and will provide SORSA with useful information about the new member. You can download the New Member's Packet here.

Official Membership
To help cover expenses and pave the way for future club activities and events, SORSA is now offering an Official Membership with yearly dues. All meetings are still open and free of charge to anyone who wants to participate. However, Official Members receive benefits that are well worth the expense.
To become an official member of the Southern Oregon Robotics Society of America, you must first fill out and sign an Official Membership Application which can be viewed and printed here. The initial sign-up fee required for membership is $40 with an annual renewal fee of $30. Continued membership is contingent upon being up-to-date on membership dues. All dues are considered to be tax-deductible contributions to the Southern Oregon Robotics Society of America and are non-refundable.
If you bring your completed membership application and initial sign-up fee to a regular SORSA meeting, your membership will be effective immediately but you may not receive your Official Membership Kit until the following month's meeting. You may also choose to mail your completed application and a check made payable to SORSA to:

Once we receive your application and payment, we will make every effort to assemble your Official Membership Kit in time for the next meeting. If you cannot attend a meeting in person and would like us to mail your Membership Kit to you, please include an additional $12 to cover USPS Priority shipping.
Benefits of Membership
Official members of the Southern Oregon Robotics Society of America will be granted the following benefits as long as membership dues are current:
1) Members shall be eligible to cast one vote in association elections;
2) Members shall be eligible to run for officer positions;
3) Members shall be granted library checkout privileges;
4) Members shall receive discounts on SORSA goods;
5) Members shall receive one Official Membership Kit which includes a membership card, a free SORSA t-shirt, a magazine and one Simple Sumo Robotics Kit to assemble;
6) Members shall receive free admission to all RoboMaxx events hosted by SORSA.
